Why mornings???

Whoever said morning was the best time to start school obviously didn't have to go to school that early. I know I can't complain like many of my friends, but its still no fun. Last night I was lying awake, and I heard this yelling, screaming, and kicking(it sounded like someone was dying!) I go to my 4 year old brothers room , because mine is the closest to his, and kneel byhis bed and ask him "Whats wrong buddy?" He says in his loudest most demanding voice "I WANT MOMMY!!!!!" There was no mistaking what he wanted, and I knew he wasn't going to stop until he got it....

I love how a 4 year old knew how to get some one to listen to him while so many of us teens and adults still have no clue. The answer so many of us forget is sooo simple. We aren't PERSISTENT in our want. I was reading this morning Luke 18:1-8 Its about the widow who kept coming to Jesus again and again she finally got what she asked. in verse 5 Jesus says "Yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming". Its so simple, but we make it so difficult. When we want something we need to be persistent. Why can a 4 year old understand that, yet we sit down studying our Bibles trying to figure out why God isn't answering prayers??
